THE CANTONESE COUNT AND THE COURT OF MISOGYNY

THE CANTONESE COUNT AND THE COURT OF MISOGYNY

Kok Hung Lo was a mild mannered peasant who farmed a moderate small holding on the outskirts of Canton.

He lived with his wife and three children in a small mud and thatch structure adjacent to a mosquito infested paddy field and a stinking pig sty containing his prized pot belly porkers.

His wife helped him on the farm by spreading pig manure and obtained additional income for the impoverished family by acting as a part time Concubine and Scrubber at the local Counts Palace on Tuesdays, Thursdays and when there was a full moon.

The children also helped Kok Hung Lo by taking it in turns to sleep for a week, and when awake, fast for three days at a time before relieving themselves of their hunger by licking a lactating sows skin and feasting of the dried tics on their backs.

Occasionally there mother would return from the Counts Palace with a tray of treats from the concubines quarters, including deep fried Eunuch’s  foreskin, boiled peasants trotters and on high days and holidays the broiled head of an executed prisoner.

The local Count, Lord Kok Hung Hi, was the only son of a minor concubine of the Emperor, and had been granted the title on the death of his mother who had held the estate in trust for her oldest child.  As a child he had grown to despise woman and in particular his mother who he longed to depose from an early age.

Kok Hung Lo and Kok Hung Hi became friends after they both got high on opium at the local brothel and soon hatched a plan to switch identities. They exchanged clothing and returned to their new temporary homes expecting to sample the delights of the unexpected .

As Kok Hung Hi entered the mud hut that would be his home for the night, he felt a sharp pain to his groin as his wife struck him with a pair of sharpened chop sticks. As he fell to the ground growling with pain she plunged a twelve inch blade in to his heart severing all arteries and killing him stone dead.

The following day she entered the Counts palace to be greeted by her disguised husband. As she bowed to greet him she stumbled forward and fell to the ground smashing her skull on the paved flooring.
